Rev.Dr. Robin Xavier Chittuparambil, joined Asian Research
Centre (ARC) for
Religion and Social Communication (ARC) as coordinator of Asian Research Centre, India chapter
to
promote research in the fields of religion and social communication in the Indian context. As
coordinator, Rev.Fr. Robin Xavier VC is tasked with establishing the core team whose
collaboration
will determine ARC activities in India in the future. The ARC facilitates and supports research
on
subjects related to religion and social communication in Asia. It publishes relevant studies and
research in the bi-annual journal titled ‘Religion and Social Communication’. It promotes
related
publications in the field, develops a network of interested researchers and institutions,
fosters
interreligious dialogue and cooperation in the field. ARC is based in Thailand and its network
is
international, with individuals from many nations.

workshop conducted by De Paul Centre for Research and Development (DCRD) on Academic writing
DCRD is an initiative of DiST in order to develop the research activities of the faculty. DCRD conducted its first workshop on academic writing on December 16, 2019. The programme was scheduled from 10.30 A.M to 12.30 P.M at DiST board room. Introductory remarks were given by Prof. Dr. K.P Mani, Director, School of Management. Prof. Dr. Unny C. J, Principal DiST had given his remarks on the programme and introduced the resource person to the gathering. The workshop resource person was Dr. Peter Jones, Senior Lecturer, James Cook University, Australia. The session was about the points we should adhere to while publishing articles in journals. It gave insights on how to create a correct structure to the article depending on the genre of article and type of journal the researcher wishes to publish. The session had a discussion of the participants with the resource person. Dr. Nirmal Jacob, HOD, School of Media and Communication proposed the vote of thanks.
